Medical Aid Team of CCNU: Warriors Never Fall Back
The medical aid team of CCNU hospital spend months on the epidemic prevention, devoting themselves to the fight against the novel coronavirus, and they are still making efforts to prevent the rebound of the epidemic.
When the outbreak occurred, staff of the school hospital stepped forward bravely and formed the medical aid team. They devoted themselves to the front line and worked day and night to fight epidemic.
Chen Qin, whose father died of COVID-19, endured the grief of losing her beloved one and chose to fight back.
Deng Hong, Party Secretary of the hospital, worked consistently in the past 2 months. She said, “I’m just holding on to an ordinary position, and try to make these days meaningful.” She would donate her salary earned in this special time to an autism school to help those needed.
Zhang Zhenye, Director of the hospital, is about to retire. “The situation in Wuhan is getting better, but we will remain vigilant and never slacken our efforts”, he added.
On the evening of March 29th, four doctors gave lessons about epidemic prevention to 4,000 students and teachers. Deng Hong narrated heroic deeds and illustrated the importance and necessity of the scientific prevention. On behalf of all medical staff, Deputy Director Gui Ke of CCNU hospital shared his experiences and thoughts of the battle with three key words—gratitude, sensation and science.
The online lectures held by CCNU hospital have been viewed for over 60,000 times, which raised all CCNUers’ awareness of prevention and control of the epidemic.

CCNU hospital gradually resumed regular medical services after risk evaluation.
The outpatient entrance is equipped with infrared thermometers. All the staff coming to the hospital will be pre-examined and triaged at the entrance of the south building. Only those with green health code and normal temperature are allowed to enter the hospital. The elderly who live alone and do not use smartphones are unable to show their health codes, in which case they are arranged to seek medical attention outside the hospital in a friendly manner.
On March 30th, the hospital opened 3 non-COVID-19 clinic with 7 doctors. The services provided by the children’s health care center was based on a telephone appointment system, with time slots scheduled to avoid personnel aggregation. The TCM pharmacy was opened on April 6th.
Chen Hongbo, a doctor of the hospital, said “Our service means a lot to our students and teachers. We are to provide follow-up health service for all CCNUers.”

CCNU hospital has taken the initiative to protect people with scientific analysis, full participation and many effective measures so as to ensure the victory of epidemic prevention and control. Next, the school hospital will continue to adhere to the prevention and control measures, shouldering its responsibility and guaranteeing the health and safety of all teachers and students.
